MJ Cole's presentation album, _Sincere_, brought A level of musicality that lifted it among its service department compatriots, and his intermediate album, _Cut to the Chase_ raises the stakes still far by taking on different genres. Hip-Hop is seamlessly integrated into the album with U.K. vocaliser `Fallacy's' fast open fireplace rhymes upping the tempo considerable with pleasantly delightful results. Dancehall gets a thought makeover (less controversial) with the booty Shake of "Elephant Man's - Mad Man". As is Cole's trademark, sumptuous string arrangements underpin a handful of beautiful tracks, but more unexpected is the knowledgeable piano device to opens the album.....and confirms this album easy as worthy as "Sincere".
